Thirteen years ago, a broken elbow flipped my world upside down. I was working part-time, going to school full-time, and then—bam. Injury. Suddenly, I couldn’t work my job, and I had no clue what came next.

Enter my sister-in-law, who had just started a side hustle with a jewelry company. I watched her thrive, and after some thought (and a big ol’ dose of “If she can do it, I can too”), I jumped in. At first, I just wanted enough to buy groceries.

Now? That same side hustle is helping fund hotel stays, gas, food, and souvenirs for the expensive sports my twin boys love—creating family memories that are worth every penny. It’s no longer just about survival. It’s about freedom.

A Day in the Life: Hustle, Homework, and Halftime Shows

My daily routine looks a lot like a juggling act performed on a treadmill. I work full-time from home, manage a household, and chauffeur two very busy teenagers from one activity to the next. Oh—and I run a successful jewelry business in the middle of all that.

How? I plan my day, block time, and work this business in the nooks and crannies of life. I send messages in the school pickup line. I make calls between tasks. I sell permanent jewelry at sporting events and practices. I talk about my business wherever I go—because it goes with me.

This business doesn’t interrupt my life. It fits into it.

The Mindset Shift That Changed Everything

One of the biggest game-changers for me has been shifting my mindset from “I have to do this” to “I get to do this.” This business? It’s my joy. I genuinely look forward to connecting with my team, customers, and event hosts.

Events fill my cup. They give me a chance to have conversations that aren’t about sports schedules and teenage boys. They give me something just for me. And in a life where I do a lot for others—I need that.

Goodbye, Mom Guilt. Hello, Balance.

When my boys were younger, I definitely wrestled with mom guilt. But that was before I learned how to take my business with me wherever I go. Now, I know the power of weaving my side hustle into the flow of daily life—and I teach other women to do the same. No more choosing between being present and being productive.

You can absolutely do both. I’m living proof.

The Blessing I Never Expected

I never considered myself a “salesperson.” I still don’t. But I do love sharing the jewelry I offer—because I see how it changes lives. JBloom lets women wear their stories, personalize their pieces, and feel seen. That’s powerful.

And you know what else it gave me? Confidence.

I’ve grown into a woman who proudly calls herself a business owner. I’ve learned how to show up, serve, lead, and inspire. And jewelry—well, it makes us feel good on the inside and the outside. That’s a bonus I didn’t see coming.

To the Woman Who’s Wondering If She Can…

Let me tell you—you can.

You don’t need perfect timing or an empty calendar. You just need a little space, a lot of heart, and the belief that you’re worthy of something that brings you joy. This business has paid bills, built confidence, and brought blessings I never expected.

If you’re ready to make time for you, I’m cheering you on—and I’m happy to show you how to make it fit.

Because you deserve to chase your dreams, too. 💕
